Aperiodic
Four identical odd-shaped pieces make for a satisfying solution when they all fit together. Made of laser cut baltic-birch.
The shapes are the first discovered aperiodic monotile, the "hat" shape, meaning they can tile infinitely but never with a repeating pattern. If you read their research paper, you may just find a hint for the true solution to this aperiodic puzzle!
Goal: Fit 4 pieces into the tray. Pieces may be flipped. There will be empty space left over.
Difficulty: This puzzle can be frustrating to try to reason about systematically, but a solution will present itself after a while of fiddling.
Number of Solutions: At least 4
